Yes, you can be sad that "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" is going to be cancelled by ABC. Yet, you can take action, too. You, don't have to sit in the corner and watch your favorite shows become a part of history.
You can begin today.
First join a proactive group such as FIGHT 4 OUR ABC SOAPS MOVEMENT. This is a Facebook group that will show you many ways in which you can help. It also provides you with a ton of resources.
Call other networks such as NBC and ask them to consider purchase the rights to these shows. If ABC doesn't think they can make money from these shows, lets get them on another network.
Call and write sponsors. Ask them to sponsor our soaps. Tell them about the number of loyal viewers these shows have and how these viewers would purchase more of their products if they would help. Also ask them if they would continue sponsorship if these shows move to another network.,
Take part in protest rallies if one should take part in your area. Make your voice heard and your body seen.
Yes, you have many ways in which you can help. Yet, no soap fan can do it alone. We all need to come together to this and we need to this now.
